Cruising in a Bennington pontoon boat

Design Your Dream Pontoon Boat

You are accustomed to designing your life the way you want it, and your pontoon boat should be no different. One of the beauties of Bennington is that you are in control: you can specify nearly every feature to suit your taste, your style, and your family’s boating pleasure. What’s more, we make it easy to do, with a “build your own” tool on our website that walks you through every step and shows you the price of every choice you make. You can be the architect of your summer dreams. Here’s how it works.

Multiple Ways to Begin

You can begin designing your own Bennington pontoon boat from several starting points, individually or all at once. The first page of the build-it tool allows you to select the Bennington series, the floor plan category, the boat’s length, and certain major features such as arches and towers, dinettes, and certain power options. All of these are discussed in more detail below. You can select any or all of these starting points, hit the “search for models” button, and the tool will show you every Bennington model that meets your main requirements.

Key Selections

Among the primary choices you make in building your Bennington pontoon boat are:

Series: Bennington builds pontoon boats in seven series, ranging from the entry-level S series, our most popular line, to the full-luxury QX series, with its sleek fiberglass topsides.

Floorplan: Within each Bennington series, you can choose from among some or all of these floorplan layouts: club, bar, stern lounge, fastback, cruise, fishing, stern radius, and swingback.

Length: Bennington pontoons are built in lengths from 16' to 30', to accommodate the needs of a solo fisherman, a romantic couple, a multi-generational family, or a gang of serious partiers.

Popular features: Certain popular pontoon boat features are also available on particular models and can be used to guide the selection process. These include arches and towers, dinettes, sterndrive or twin-engine power, windscreens, and choice of narrow or wide beam.

Design Your Boat Step by Step

After you’ve made any or all of the preceding selections and the build-it tool shows you all the models that meet your criteria, you select one of the models and the tool walks you through the next steps in the following order, showing the price change for every choice you make.

  • exterior: colors, graphics, canvas color, tops, and ladders
  • interior: upholstery material, color and trim, furniture add-ons, helm and stereo options, galley options, and interior lighting
  • flooring
  • engines and performance: engine choice by manufacturer and horsepower, performance add-ons
  • additional options: a wide range of amenities, including washdown plumbing, privacy enclosures, refrigerated cupholders, ski tow pylons, rod holders and many others
